If you are looking to complete community service hours for high school or college then visit us and help us to preserve this historic location!
While we offer several events where you can interact with visitors and staff, we also have several projects where you can work on a specific assignment such as bringing a train car back to life!
The process is simple:
- Download and print the application
- Read the dress code.
- The application must be completely filled and must be brought on the first day of volunteering.
- Once you have turned in the application you are free to participate in any of the events posted!
NOTE: If you are a high school student you will receive credit for your hours. This will be verified in a letter to your school/group. You are responsible for picking up this letter and delivering it to your school. Letters are usually ready a week after an event. You will receive an email after every event.
If you plan to volunteer on a regular basis, your hours will be totaled upon request and a letter with the total will be created.
If you are a college student doing service learning you will not receive a letter, instead you will receive credit on the log provided by your institution. However, a letter can be created upon request for your personal records.
